Environmental 3 Sensor Module

Environmental 3 Sensor ModuleThis module monitors fundamental conditions in the environment: temperature, relative humidity, barometric pressure, movement/vibration, light levels, ambient audio noise, and air quality (CO2 gas and VOC).

Features:

  • 8 environmental sensors: temperature, relative humidity, barometric pressure, movement/vibration, luminance meter, ambient audio noise, CO2 gas, and VOC
  • Interrupt triggering based on movement or luminance levels
  • Configurable sensitivity for movement sensor, allowing different types of detection: vibration, shake, fall/impact, general movement, orientation detection
  • Configurable sensitivity for ambient audio volume levels

Environmental 2 Sensor Module

Environmental 2 Sensor ModuleThis module monitors fundamental conditions in the environment: temperature, relative humidity, barometric pressure, movement/vibration, light levels, and ambient audio noise. Note, it does not include air quality sensor.

  • 6 environmental sensors: temperature, relative humidity, barometric pressure, movement/vibration, luminance meter, and ambient audio noise
  • Interrupt triggering based on movement or luminance levels
  • Configurable sensitivity for movement sensor, allowing different types of detection: vibration, shake, fall/impact, general movement, orientation detection

Environmental 1 Sensor Module

Basic Environmental ModuleThis module monitors basic fundamental conditions in the environment: temperature, relative humidity, barometric pressure, movement/vibration, and light levels. Note, it does not include ambient audio noise nor air quality sensors.

  • 5 environmental sensors: temperature, relative humidity, barometric pressure, 3D accelerometer, and luminance meter
  • Interrupt triggering based on predefined movement or luminance levels
  • Configurable sensitivity for movement sensor, allowing different types of detection: vibration, shake, fall/impact, general movement, orientation detection

 

 

 

RS-485 Serial Interface Module

Serial Interface ModuleThis module connects Zenseio system to legacy external industrial equipment (sensors, controllers) through RS-485 serial interface. The industrial equipment can be then remotely monitored and controlled.

GPS Module

LoRa Module

LoRa2

LoRa radio transceiver for Zenseio IoT platform. It provides long range, low power, and low cost wireless connectivity to remote sensors. It can connect to public or to private LoRaWAN networks through a variety of gateways from several vendors. It can also be used in peer-to-peer communication between client devices using LoRa, GFSK, or FSK modulation.

Power Supply Modules

Energy Harvester Module (LiPo battery version)

Energy Harvesting ModuleThis module harvests small amounts of energy from the environment to power up Flexi-Sense system. Works with a variety of energy harvesting converters and achieves very high power conversion efficiency using MPPT (Maximum Power Point Tracking) technique. Manages charge and discharge of Li-Po battery and protects it from over-charge and under-depletion. Monitors power input and battery voltage levels. This version provides much larger power store capacity and user install options than the supercapacitor version.

Features:

  • Configurable MPPT for optimal energy extraction from a variety of energy harvesters including solar, thermal, piezo, turbines, electromagnetic couplers
  • Low-power input sources (as low as 100mV)
  • Configurable for DC or AC types of input sources
  • JST-PH connector for Li-Po battery
  • High efficiency output regulator with peak current up to 110mA
  • On/off switch

 

Energy Harvester Module (Supercapacitor version)

Energy Harvesting Module with SupercapacitorHarvests minute amounts of energy from the environment to power up Flexi-Sense system. Works with a variety of energy harvesting converters and achieves very high power conversion efficiency using MPPT (Maximum Power Point Tracking) technique. Manages charge and discharge of Supercapacitor  and protects it from over-charge. Monitors power input and battery voltage levels. It is best suited for applications that have modest power consumption and when there is modest interruption from external energy sources. However, supercapacitor is more chemically stable, withstands larger temperature range, is more durable, and lighter than a lithium battery. Works great as an UPS (uninterruptable power supply) to provide continuous operation during brief main power-line outages.

  • DC or AC input low-power sources (as low as 100mV)

Primary Battery "AA" Module

Primary Battery ModuleThis module allows to power up Flexi-Sense system from a primary, non-rechargeable 3.6V Lithium battery.

Features:

  • Battery voltage and current monitoring circuit
  • Holder for "AA"/ER14505 size battery
  • Battery can have nominal 2.4 Ah capacity
  • Reverse polarity protection

Primary Battery ModuleThis module allows to power up Flexi-Sense system from a primary, non-rechargeable 3.6V Lithium battery.

Miscellaneous Modules

Grove Sensor Breakout

This module connects a large portfolio of Grove sensors, actuators, radios, and user interfaces from Seeed Studio or other off-the-shelf sensors. Great for experimentation and prototyping.

Features:

  • 5 Grove connectors with UART, SPI, I2C, GPIO, Analog functionality
  • Some connectors are software configurable
  • 3.5mm edge Block Headers for connecting off-the-shelf sensors (with bare wires)

 

 

 

 

Prototyping

prototyping moduleThis breadboard module is great for quickly prototyping circuits (for example sensors, radio modules) and connecting them to the Sensor Hub. Solder the circuits into the board and connect them with blue wire.
